How to Accessorize Your Teacher Uniform, with Molly and Michelle

The uniform: white collared shirt and black conservative skirt.

The uniform: white collared shirt and black conservative skirt.

Twenty-five baht bracelets, fun nail polish colors, earrings, makeup, jelly shoes, facialĀ piercings, and even tattoos! When you’re supposed to wear the same thing to work every day, five days a week for 8 months, you can either go crazy or get creative.

And then when all else fails and you’re still feeling bored, just ditch the uniform altogether. Black is sorta like white, right?

Uber cute! Interesting that you guys wear black and white to school. When I wear that everyone gives me concerned looks and asks me who has died. They think I’m in mourning. So I keep my outfits nice and bright and try to follow the colours of the days (Monday- Yellow, Tuesday -Pink etc). Nici x

Yeah I was surprised by the black and white as well. We look like Mormons when you see us walking down the street on our way to lunch. How fun you get to wear colors…! Lucky for us, they aren’t too strict on the shirt color thing (or, if they do care, they’ll never outright tell us since of course this is a saving face culture) so I throw in blue, black, and grey every now and then.
